An experimental artist seeking new ways and possibilities, her paintings and sculptures push the boundaries of fine and applied art. Her work does not break away from the textile basics.
Her paintings are done with textile dyes on silk fabric. The subject matter she works with allows her to experiment in painting: to evoke the ever-changing experience of space: she creates a particular plastic surface with ribs sewn into the canvas.
Her small sculptures are spatial drawings made of rigid wire mesh, which reveal different permeations as the viewpoint changes.
The theme of the exhibition is experiences, travel, journeys, displacement in nature and landscape, and interpreting them beyond reality.
The aim is to visualise movement and stillness, dynamism and stillness. It is not intended to represent the real spectacle. By zooming in on small details, by stopping a moment in time, the painter seeks to capture and convey the essence. This allows for abstract contemplation and detachment from reality.
