My sculptural thinking has been greatly influenced by spending a lot of time in nature (at the waterfront, near water). Water, as a fundamental element of nature, in its various perceptible qualities and phenomena, has provided me with inspiration, and the appropriate (contemplative) relationship to it has been a decisive example for the development of my basic sculptural approach, and has also had a decisive influence on my choice of subject matter.
The issues of the relationship between mass and surface, the search for the essence behind the surface, the search for the relationship between change and permanence are present in my sculptures in both a figurative and concrete sense. In my view, the most natural mirror phenomena in the world for humans are the various mirror effects on water surfaces.
Observation of these phenomena can open up the possibility of recognizing analogical meanings that go beyond simple, everyday sight, i.e. they can be a source of intuitive cognition.
