The works on display at the exhibition move between the boundaries of geometry and intuition. The title – the part of the outlines of shapes where they intersect – symbolically expresses the spirit of the works: the meeting of rational construction and emotional reception.

The central motif of the exhibition is the sphere, a symbol of infinity and completeness. The idea is interpreted through the simplification of shapes and their breakdown into planes – the essence of the spherical approach is that the perfect form, which is completely identical to the idea, cannot be mapped in real space.

The works are based on two compositional principles: the quadrangular grid system of the Meridianum series illustrates the “growing sense of the sphere,” while the Icosphere variations represent a system of “tunnels” passing through the core of the sphere via a geodesic, triangular structure.

Most of the works are wooden constructions made of elements cut from the cylindrical shell of tree rings. The encounter between physical material and computer space gives both substance and weightlessness to the forms and the concept.

The wall works examine the relationship between plane and space: the Meridianum-nyomat_felülnézet intarzia and Icosphere_maradék_teríték wall works illustrate internal structures, visible and invisible parts.
