The Noisebox is a living instrument: an audiovisual space installation brought to life not by silent contemplation but by noise, rhythm and play. In the centre of the space, an analogue drum kit awaits the visitor: the raw energy of each beat captures and shapes the visual and aural world of the environment in real time. In this way, the visitor takes on the role of the creator, transforming the gallery into a playground or a cosmic whirlpool.

After Berlin, Cairo, Kassa, Bratislava and Budapest, Noisebox is playing a double role in Veszprém: it is both a fascinating spatial experience and a sharp institutional critique. The rules are reversed: here, the work can be touched. Noise is not a disturbing factor, but a fundamental element of the work as a performative medium. Noisebox shows that creative work is not the exclusive prerogative of artists, but an innate, instinctive need.

Every drumbeat takes us back to the pure, unfiltered joy of childlike discovery. In our ever-shrinking, ever-observed public spaces, this exhibition is a temporary zone of freedom: here spontaneity, experimentation and playful disorder are the guiding principles of creative intent. Following in the artistic and critical tradition, Noisebox makes a radically simple claim: freedom begins where we dare to play. In every drumbeat, the question throbs: if free expression had a voice, what would it sound like?
