Throughout our long friendship, I have always admired Kati’s strength, her deep connection to nature, and her incredible sensitivity. It is this sensitivity that makes her primal, instinctive creative power so special. Unfortunately, the world we live in has become an increasingly unfriendly place in recent times. To express her anxiety and fear, Kati turns to what she has always been able to turn to: nature. Objects found in the garden or on the street that seem useless transform in her hands into raw, screaming, desperate sculptures, which at the same time, with their wondrous power, are capable of protecting their creator like amulets. “I use my private mythology as a mental refuge.”
