The group exhibition Remnants explores how an artist’s career transforms memories of the past and remnants of nostalgia into a narrative mythology and visual language that reflects on the present, current issues, problems, and the artist’s self-awareness. The exhibiting artists draw on their childhood worlds, evoking personal symbols, characters, and stories that form the basis of their artistic language and authenticity. The exhibition focuses on the process by which memory, nostalgia, and the search for identity are transformed into a linguistic and visual system, creating an opportunity to understand or reinterpret present experiences.
