This is the 18th year that the acb Gallery has represented the artist Róbert Batykó – to celebrate the anniversary of this cooperation, the gallery is preparing a special retrospective exhibition, which will guide the visitors through the artist’s painting programme during his years with acb.
The Replay exhibition thus joins the series of exhibitions recontextualising the painting of Róbert Batykó, which began with the large-scale Zoompark in 2021 at the Paks Gallery, on the occasion of which the artist’s monograph was published. The exhibition in acb Plus thus focuses on works that were not included in the retrospective of a few years ago, but only in the book Batykó.
Replay will thus highlight rarities that were typical of the artist’s early career, as well as a number of important works that have emerged since the Paks exhibition and opened up new chapters in the artist’s oeuvre.
