Split Weft

The work of the Ejtech duo – Judit Kárpáti and Esteban de la Torre – explores the interpenetration between sound, matter and movement. With their installation Split Weft, they will debut in acb Gallery’s newest exhibition space, Imre Bak Space, which serves not only as a new space but also as a conceptual platform for contemporary art. The title of the exhibition refers to a basic concept in textile art and industry, the weft: these are the threads that run perpendicular to the longitudinal warp of the fabric. The artists break down and reinterpret this structural motif and translate it into their own techno-spiritual visual language.
