The HAA is organising an ‘introductory’ exhibition for its members, with the aim of giving the public an idea of the changing institutional framework for the arts and design over the past decade. The exhibition is a precursor to the 2014 exhibition “NÉV-JEGY”, which was hosted by the Szent Adalbert Centre in Esztergom. The aim of the 2023 exhibition is to trace the events and changes in the composition of the staff over the past period.
The concept of the exhibition is built around the idea that each academic of the chapter is placed in an “intellectual-aesthetic” unit with an artist of his or her choice, where the academic passes on his or her intellectual heritage to the next generation. In this way, the work of 39 academics and more than 40 artists, industrialists and designers who are not members of the Academy provides a snapshot of the current state of the Association and its future aspirations. The focus of the exhibition is on realised works of craftsmanship and functional design.
