Anselm Reyle (1970) has his first solo exhibition in Hungary at acb Gallery. Coming from the German punk scene of the late 1980s, Reyle’s trademark in recent years has been his collected mirror-foil paintings and plexiglass objects, which have inspired artists of the younger generation such as Márton Nemes.
The exhibition at the acb will be a very intense, total aesthetic experience through which the unclassifiable Reyle will showcase the full arsenal of his art, from painting and ceramics to neon objects and installations.
Reyle’s art and found objects, both abstract and abstract, reflect on the role of modernism in our society, and the artist draws from classics of German art such as Polke and Richter, but his work also explores the intersection of kitsch, fashion, window dressing and art.
