At the exhibition Carried Body I perceive our body as a carried tool, a thing, through which we respond to our surroundings. Through looking at our body parts, movements, and feelings I want to understand more about the relation to our surroundings and its social ties.
Often it is felt as tension in the body; feeling of discomfort, muscle pain, cramp, and pressure. Wish to stretch the body, relax it, bend it, or rotate it. In my non-representative form of representation in painting and drawing, I capture these feelings through layers of transparent shapes, lines, and heavily painted parts.
The whole exhibition is at the end created by the installation of drawings, paintings, and sculptures in close dialog with themselves and their relation to the space.
