One of the most important issues for humanity in the 21st century is nature. How do we relate to this wonderful resource, how do we take care of it, how do we help it to renew itself? The relationship with nature is multifaceted: it can be seen as the basis of life, as the raw material of civilisation, as an aesthetic experience and as a higher universal connection. This selection from the MBH Bank Collection, which began in the 1990s, explores this crucial and complex issue through masterpieces of Hungarian art.

As a means of socialising art, MBH Bank’s ambition is to make its collection of works of art continuously accessible to the general public throughout Hungary. In this way, emblematic pieces of art history do not disappear in the sink of a corporate collection, but remain part of the cultural fabric by becoming visible in the outstanding art institutions of major cities through curatorial concepts. The first step is the realisation of an exhibition at the MODEM in Debrecen.

Artists exhibited: Gyula Benczúr, Róbert Berényi, Aurél Bernáth, Samu Börtsök, István Csók, Béla Czóbel, József Egry, István Farkas, Jenő Gadányi, János Kmetty, Béla Nemessányi Kontuly, Károly Kernstok, Antal Ligeti, Ödön Márffy, Ferenc Markó, László Medgyes, László Mednyánszky, László Mednyánszky, Hugó Mund, Róbert Nádler, Viktor Olgyai, Dezső Orbán, Károly Patkó, Dezső Pilch Pécs, Vilmos Csaba Perlrott, Bertalan Székely, György Szin, István Szőnyi, Ziffer
