Bence Knyihár has been a member of the Artus Studio community since 2016. The possibilities offered by the available monumental space are in line with his painting ambitions.
For him, it is fundamental to perceive the relationship between image and space, to explore the qualities of the canvas. An increasingly prominent parameter of his work will be the vision of different pictorial interactions, the investigation of the material components of painting (layers of images, materials, surfaces, forms, colours) and the material relationship between the work as a physical object and its author.
Painting becomes a process of cognition, and thus the artist’s reflection on painting becomes the context of his work.
