Tivadar Nemesi and Tibor Szemző’s joint exhibition on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Franz Kafka’s death.
Szemző used excerpts from Gustav Janouh’s (a young student from Prague) conversations with Kafka as the starting point for his work. Films of recontextualised fragments of conversations come to life as art objects on tiny players with the voices of well-known actors.
The mysterious atmosphere of the metaphorical thoughts expressed is further woven by Tivadar Nemesi’s woodcut prints of human beings, freely associating with the scenes, like characters in an invisible story in a space woven around Kafkaesque thoughts.
