‘Bardo’ is the 2024 review exhibition of the Derkovits Gyula Derkovits Art Scholarship holders, commissioned by the Hungarian Culture Foundation and announced by the Petőfi Cultural Agency, which presents the latest works of the young artists, linked to a common thought process. The present exhibition is based on the concept of the “bardo” from the Tibetan Book of the Dead, but does not follow its interpretation in a strict sense: the curatorial concept of Dr. Noémi Jusztusz and Tünde Sipos focuses on the different states of human existence, with a symbolic elaboration of the transitions between life and death.

The exhibition presents twenty-two young grant-holder artists – Ivor Ágoston Almásy, Tamás Drabik, István Zsolt Enyedi, Judit Ágnes Gallai, Márton Gresa, Réka Juhász Nóra Juhász, Emese Kádár, Kristóf Kecső, Levente Korossy-Khayll, Zoltán Kovács, Kristóf Lázár, Attila Viktor Pálfalusi, Tamás Ádám Páll, Gábor Pap, Sándor Dávid Papp, Boglárka Sipos, Alíz Stohl, Ádám Széll, Ádám Takács, Mónika Üveges, Miklós Varga Ádám and Bence Zsin.
