Abeyance

Margit Koller invites the public to explore an underground environment at her solo show. The big scale, site-specific installations are composed especially for the space of the Óbudai Társaskör Gallery. It depends on the vigilance of the audience if the changes will be realized in the manipulated space: here and now in a focused state of presence the audience is the origo, the artworks are only functioning for raising the senses, balancing on the borders of passivity and activity, reception and interaction. Impassable stair- and gangways’ gloomy world clashes with the reality, artificial space with the real one, and the potential solution lies in the public’s acting or non-acting.
