The group exhibition is a kaleidoscopic glimpse of the different types of humour in the visual arts, while attempting to define the sense(s) necessary to perceive it.
It also seeks, in the face of inevitable failure, to answer the following questions. Can we develop a sense of humour? Can we develop a sense of humour? Can we cultivate a sense of humour? Can humour transplantation be used? And if so, does it change what we consider humorous?
Also, the relationship between humour and the sense of pain may arise: for example, is humiliation less painful if we say “It was a joke!”?
