Three Birds, Seven Stories, Interpolations and Bifurcations

The works of Simon Starling are always preceded by thorough research in which he transforms and reinterprets existing objects. His installations take the form of a complex sculptural unit: elements bearing apparently far-removed cultural and historical references are brought into a single narrative. Since Starling’s work takes its final form only in the course of his research, the Budapest project is bound to have some interesting surprises for all of us.
