“If my twin sister had been born, we could have been two vowels meeting at carnival. We could have created some kind of a voice space, but I came alone. Now the sound and the space are just alternating inside me.”
Fruzsina Augusztinyi uses the tools of art to present the recipient with a defining period in her life. Sometimes with subtle lyricism and the artist’s sensitivity, sometimes with the rational, engineering approach typical of a designer, she approaches the subject of her chosen analysis. Her working method is unique: she does not want to put herself in the shoes of either the analyst or the patient, but thinks of herself as an explorer, as if she were a member of an exotic expedition, descending down and down into the thick of memories, feelings and emotions. This is the voyage of discovery that the exhibition invites the visitor on, who can get closer not only to the architectural and creative attitude of Augusztinyi, but also to herself, to her own feelings.
