Hajnal Miklós is most interested in the themes of nature and in the relationship of human and
nature. She is often caught by motives such as a wolf or a tree, etc, which owe personal
content to her and have a symbolical meaning at the same time. Old hometown traditions
have also influenced the artist, for example that her grandfather planted a birch tree at each
child birth.
She is looking at trees as her friends, sometimes wanting to embrace them, to listen to them,
as if they knew the answers on silent questions. Looking at her paintings of the recent years,
she depicted human and tree first back to back, then facing the other, or even merging
completely into each other on some compositions.
