Pool-liner ropes with coloured buoys stretch at right angles from the waterworks’ pool towards the ceiling, parallel to the moving glass cubes of the elevator. From there the visitors can read the huge metal letters under the water surface below:
“To talk about art is like singing underwater”. The quotation from Lajos Kassák refers to this absurdity and so does the installation itself with irony, projecting the “swimming lanes” into the air.
Ottó Vincze has lived and worked a long time in Switzerland and Germany, where he had the possibility to create real large sized spatial installations of this kind.
