Established in 1950, the Mihály Munkácsy Prize is a state award for outstanding artistic achievement, presented on 15 March each year and open to a maximum of seven recipients. Since 2017, the Hegyvidék Gallery has been presenting a group exhibition of the artists awarded the prize that year, and will continue this series of exhibitions in 2023.
