Salamon Pál’s works are playful and theoretical, tricky and sceptical, playing with perception while presenting the most elemental dilemmas of plane and space, origin and representation, concept and representability. These works are photographs, preserving the form of a piece of paper, a fold, a shadow, while demonstrating, as a critique of photography, that the operation tears out and appropriates, destroying the aura and the uniqueness of the captured form.
