The intent of the co-operation between The Austrian Cultural Forum Budapest (OKF) and the Hungarian University of Fine Arts (MKE) started in 2011 is to extend the possibilities of the dialogue among young Austrian and Hungarian artists. The core program of the collaboration in 2014 is an exhibition with the participation of the students of the Akademie der bildenden Künste Vienna (AKB) and the DLA Program of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts.

Commemorating on the centenary of the outbreak of the World War I, the Austrian and Hungarian artist groups are displaying contemporary artistic interpretations and reflections about questions incurred in the war but still only partially answered. In order to deepen the dialogue and make a successfull outcome of the empirical research in the first quarter of 2014 the participants mutually presented each other their architectural relics and artefacts can be found in the collections and public spaces of the two cities.

The workshops provided opportunity to collectively evaluate and interpret individual revelations. On the 19th of June 2014. in the framework of a symposium organized by the Austrian Cultural Forum Budapest invited experts gave presentations about the scientific aspects of the researched issue. Thereby the artist groups had the possibility to get acquainted with the scientific achievements of the lecturers discipline and with their cultural context.
