The first veil can fall. A distance is formed between the idea created by vision and reality. Nothing is simply as much as it seems to be, what more, it is not that (it is something else completely).
I was searching for people rebelling against social and ethical norms, well-known and anonymous faces, creatures. Are they really rebellious or just deviant? These creatures built a monument for themselves during their lives already. “Creatures” in some kind of flushed, exalted state of mind with strong mimicry.
The majority of the faces were made on aluminum plate. Earlier I had been experimenting with this very delicate carrier, which reminds us of the cold metallic corpse plates of morgues. The faces created on aluminum plate are cold and there is no background to them. They are mirrors but blurred, scratched mirrors in which our figures, our faces are reflected as well.
