An exhibition titled “Relay” opens at the Rákóczi House in Miskolc, showcasing three generations of an artistic family.
We are commemorating József Romvári (1926–2011)—set designer, visual designer, university professor, and a prominent figure in Hungarian film production, who would have turned 100 this year—with a small-scale exhibition in conjunction with the CineFest Miskolc International Film Festival. The exhibition features a selection of his works held in the collection of the National Film Institute.
János Romvári (1953), a visual artist, and Márton Romvári (1975), a painter—father and son—are presenting their first joint exhibition in Miskolc in the two-story exhibition space. János presents old and newer large-scale installations, while Márton presents paintings, in a unified presentation that also highlights the influence of three generations on one another.
