The idea of an exhibition on colours was raised by our association’s president Dóra Maurer in 2022. The use and organisation of colours raises questions of proportion, rhythm, quantity and other issues of a mathematical or geometrical nature.
On the one hand, the exhibition focuses on colourist artists, especially those who have a dominant colour-theoretical approach and have their own colour research and individual colour theory. On the other hand, we would also like to present artists who use numbers in a different way, where the creation of forms related to numbers plays a leading role.
