The newer paintings and sculptures are closely related. The three-part composition titled *In Three Parts*, which gives the exhibition its name, and the painting *Evening* on the piano lid share a similar tripartite arrangement of crumpled checkered shirts. The checkered shirt of my youth on three consecutive days, placed beside the bed before falling asleep, the same shirt, surrounded by the infinite black of the piano lid. The similarity is particularly evident in those paintings featuring objects reminiscent of rocking horses, depicted as painted sculptures. Here, too, piano keys appear on some of the taut, sweeping, arched forms stretching across the edges of the picture. Metaphors of sounds and silences. Four years after Countdown, I am still not just organizing my archives. It feels good to paint, to further develop and supplement my iron sculptures. New works are still in the making.
