The KÉSZ Group has been a committed supporter of culture and the arts for decades. In 2017, it launched the K-ARTS Art Foundation, whose mission is to promote contemporary art using steel and other industrial materials in Hungary and abroad.

The Foundation has built up a significant collection of contemporary art and crafts, which currently includes more than 500 works of art. This continuously evolving contemporary collection consists primarily of metal sculptures, installations, prints, photographs and paintings, which are regularly exhibited at exhibitions and events.

The K-ARTS Art Foundation supports the artists in the creation of their works and the organisation of exhibitions. The most important element of its mentoring activities is the metal art camp, which has been operating in the KÉSZ Industrial and Innovation Park in Kecskemét since 2004. The Kecskemét Steel Sculpture and Fine Arts Symposium (KASZ+), which takes place in the huge industrial park on Izsáki út, is one of Hungary’s most important international art camps, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

This industrial environment is a unique source of inspiration for artists, where they can create their works using industrial tools, factory technologies and a technical toolkit that offers exceptional opportunities for innovative ideas and the creation of unique works of art. KASZ’s workshop is a bridge between metal sculpture and the rest of the visual arts.

The workshop is also exemplary in terms of environmental awareness and sustainability, as many of the artworks are made in a recycled spirit, in many cases by reusing and reprocessing scrap steel and metal elements.

The Hegyvidék Gallery presents a selection of works from this unique and diverse private corporate collection, owned by the K-ARTS Art Foundation, continuing its initiative to raise awareness of the significant private collections in Hungary, as the private sector, alongside public collections, also plays a significant role in cultural promotion.
