The result of Endre Koronczi’s decades of research and collecting, the exhibition entitled Please, sigh, Mr Széchenyi! is a celebration of the cosmic airflow that connects man with his environment.

The central installation of the exhibition is a monumental work of art constructed from the ventilation system of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Inside the building, which has become symbolic throughout our history and is actively functioning, the elements that have enabled hundreds of brilliant scientists to breathe together are being brought out of their hiding places to show us a special kind of airway.

Wind and breath become a metaphor for the soul in the exhibition, where Koronczi creates sighs and whirlwinds, stirring the imagination of visitors with real air movements.

The videos, kinetic installations and graphics in Please Sigh, Mr. Széchényi, draw on the everyday experience of the wind to bring us the beauty and power of the uninterrupted, invisible flow of air.
