Enamels (1970-72)

In the frame of the series of the acb NA which presents the members of the Pécs Workshop we offer a selection of the enamel works of Sándor Pinczehelyi.

Through the initiation of Ferenc Lantos he, similarly to the other members of their group, created his geometrical enamel works in the Enamel Factory of Bonyhád between 1969 and 1972.

For Pinczehelyi and the artists of the Pécs Workshop the baked enamel was an equal medium with the painting. Furthermore the genre was suitable for creating large-scale surfaces by assembling unit modules, thanks to that their geometrical ambitions could appear on the inner and the outer walls of buildings.
